"A GREAT Commitment to the GREAT Commandment and the GREAT Commission will grow a GREAT Church!"
The Great Commandment Matthew 22:36-40 (ESV)
"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" and then Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
The Great Commission Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV)
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
We believe that God called us, individually and collectively, as a family of God's people to:
-
Worship Him with all our heart mind and strength
-
Be loving, encouraging, and edifying to one another
-
Share the Good News of Jesus with the lost of this world
-
Grow together in maturity and as disciples to be more like Jesus
-
Meet the needs of those who are hurting and in need
-
Glorify God in our daily lives and in everything we do
To be a spiritual oasis for the many hurting and hopeless of the greater Columbus area. We believe God has made us and put us here to help discouraged, depressed, confused people find love, acceptance, guidance, and encouragement through God's Word, His Son, and His people at Chattahoochee Valley Church.
To be a rendezvous place for lost, wandering people to meet with the true and living God. We believe our congregation exists primarily for people without a congregational home.
To be a discipleship center for Christians who are serious about growing in their relationship with God. Lots of things drive churches (tradition, ritual, events, money, personalities, etc.) We believe that CVC exists primarily to develop ordinary Christians into extraordinary followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
